Independent Review: Wai Tuwhera o te Taiao (2023)
Over June and July 2023, DTK and Associates evaluated Wai Tuwhera o te Taiao | Open Waters Aotearoa for the Environmental Protection Authority | Te Mana Rauhī Taiao. Launched in 2020, the programme gives community groups, Iwi, Hapū and kura access to environmental DNA testing, so they can take an active part in protecting their local waterways, and it is co-led by the EPA’s statutory Māori advisory committee, Ngā Kaihautū Tikanga Taiao.
